RECIPE: OREO 'DIRT' PIE ('DIRT' CAKE)
'Dirt' Cake decorated with flower-shaped cookies. |
Try 'Dirt,' a dessert from the American South made with crushed Oreo cookies, cream cheese, pudding and whipped cream.
Decorate the 'dirt' with flowers, toy trucks or other outdoor themes.
Need a serious chocolate fix? Make it with all-chocolate ingredients.
YOU'LL NEED...
1 package (16oz. / 450g.) Oreo cookies
1 12 oz. (340g.) container whipped topping
8 oz. (226g.) cream cheese
1 cup (236ml.) confectioner's (powdered) sugar
2 small boxes vanilla, banana or chocolate instant pudding
3 cups (710ml.) milk
DIRECTIONS
1. CRUSH 2/3 Oreos in a food processor.
2. PUT crushed Oreos in bottom of a ceramic or glass dish.
3. MIX whipped topping, cream cheese and powdered sugar in a bowl.
4. MIX pudding and 3 cups milk in another bowl.
5. POUR pudding mixture into whipped topping and cream cheese mixture and fold together well.
6. POUR over crushed cookies.
7. CRUSH the rest of the cookies and scatter them on top.
8. REFRIGERATE to set.
